DESCRIPTION:Thursday, 14 August\n\n8:00 a.m. – Collection of materials and installation of the play area in Plaza del Puente.\n6:00 p.m. – Parade with the Colla el Cocó through the streets of the neighbourhood.\n7:00 p.m. – Visit to the altars in honour of San Roque (Calle San Juan, Calle Toledo and Plaza del Puente), accompanied by the Rondalla del grupo Cresol.\n8:00 p.m. – Traditional dances from Alicante and the Valencian Community, performed by the Cresol group.\n8:30 p.m. – Presentation of the Peregrinas de San Roque (children and adults). Proclamation in the Plaza del Puente by the Councillor of the Alicante City Council, Ms. Cristina Cutanda Pérez.\n9:30 p.m. – Traditional Picaeta and Baile del Pavo led by Danses Cresol.\nThis will be followed by the setting up of tables for the potluck dinner and popular festival.\n\nFriday 15 August\n\n10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Parade through the streets of the neighbourhood.\n12:00 p.m. – Traditional Banyà and Foam Party and ‘Banyà’ in the Plaza del Puente.\n6:00 p.m. – Children’s games in the Plaza del Puente. Snack for all participants at the end.\n7:00 p.m. – Costumed parade simulating a bull run with carts (without animals).\n9:00 p.m. – Paella contest with firewood (c/ Balseta). End of the contest and exhibition: 10:30 p.m.\nFollowed by a popular open-air dance.\nMidnight – Bull run with cart (without animals) in Plaza del Puente. (Please dress for the occasion).\n\nSaturday 16 August\n\n10 am – 11 am – Popular lunch.\n11 am – 1 pm – Parade through the streets of the neighbourhood.\n8:00 p.m. – Outdoor mass in the Plaza del Puente.\nFollowed by a solemn procession in honour of San Roque, accompanied by Danses Cresol and Colla el Cocó (Dolçaina i Tabalet).\n\n\n10:30 p.m. – At the end of the procession:\nTortilla contest\nHat contest\nPotluck dinner\nPopular festival\n\nSunday, 17 August\n\n10:00–11:00 a.m. – Community lunch.\n11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. – Parade through the neighbourhood streets.\n6:00 p.m. – Children’s games in Plaza del Puente.
