Beaches of Alicante with 'Blue Flag'
The city of Alicante takes pride in its Blue Flag beaches, a prestigious distinction that guarantees the excellence and quality of its coasts. This recognition is awarded annually based on internationally reviewed and agreed-upon criteria.
These beaches meet four major categories of standards: Environmental Information and Education, Water Quality, Environmental Management, and Safety and Services. They provide a safe and clean environment to enjoy the sea, promote environmental education through activities and informational panels about coastal ecosystems, and ensure excellent water quality for swimming. Waste management is also conducted efficiently.
Visiting the Blue Flag beaches of Alicante is to immerse yourself in an exceptional natural space, where sustainability and quality are a true guarantee for all visitors.
The beaches of San Juan, Albufereta, Postiguet, Saladares-Urbanova, and Tabarca Island have been awarded the Blue Flag in the 2024 edition.
