Canalejas Park

The Canalejas Park, one of the most emblematic green lungs of Alicante, pays tribute to José Canalejas, a prominent President of the Council of Ministers and benefactor of the city. Guarded by two imposing stone lions donated by Manuel Pritz, this charming park, designed in 1886 by architect González Altés, runs parallel to the Marina Deportiva and connects with the iconic Explanada. Ideal for strolling under the shade of its majestic century-old ficus trees, it is a place full of history and tranquility in the heart of the city.
Next to Canalejas Park is the monument in honor of the famous Alicante playwright Carlos Arniches.
