M\u00e1quina, the art and thought festival of Alicante\u2019s Centro Cultural Las Cigarreras, returns on 14 and 15 November for its fifth edition.
This new edition brings more than twenty artists to Alicante with the aim of giving visibility to some of the most innovative proposals on today\u2019s creative scene. Once again, the festival offers a programme especially designed for young audiences, featuring concerts, performances, workshops and artistic interventions that invite us to reflect on the question: What is a young body?<\/em><\/p>\n

In this edition, audiences will enjoy concerts by Corte!, Gazella and Svsto, as well as two performance pieces by H\u00e9ctor Fuertes and Meritxell de Soto. M\u00e1quina 2025 also includes a space dedicated to creative writing led by Juanpe S\u00e1nchez L\u00f3pez, along with an artistic intervention by Marcos Pizarro.<\/p>\n

The festival also strengthens its commitment to the local creative community, with the participation of collectives such as Mistela Punx, who will not only deliver a workshop but also offer a DJ set, and the Torrevieja-based collective Las Precarias, making their festival debut with a special DJ session created for the occasion.<\/p>\n

As a major new feature, M\u00e1quina is launching an open call for programmers for its next edition, M\u00e1quina 2026, with the aim of continuing to broaden the diversity of perspectives and voices shaping its programme.<\/p>\n
