Espacio S\u00e9neca hosts the exhibition \u201cAlicante in the Soul. A Photographic Journey through Alicante\u2019s Traditional Trades\u201d<\/em> by the Mediterran\u00eda Foto<\/strong> collective. The exhibition opens on 15 January at 6:30 pm and will be on view until 22 February.<\/p>\n

Curated by Natalia Molinos<\/strong>, the exhibition features 52 photographs<\/strong> inspired by the mural created in 1948 by Gast\u00f3n Castell\u00f3<\/strong> for the former bus station, now Espacio S\u00e9neca. The exhibition highlights traditional trades that shaped Alicante\u2019s economy and still endure today, grouped into five areas: the sea; clay and stone; fruits, aromas and sweets; fibre, palm and textiles; and leather and games.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is complemented by a documentary screening, talks and a selection of objects from the Biomimeti Foundation \u2013 Circle of Arts and Crafts of Alicante<\/strong>, as well as additional projected images by Mediterran\u00eda Foto.<\/p>\n
